2. Vertical pressure on the surface of the contact surface
The vertical pressure of the surface of the contact means the force generated by the surface in contact with each other and perpendicular to the contact surface. As the vertical pressure increases, the number and area of contact micro-dots increase gradually, and the contact micro-points transition from elastic deformation to plastic deformation. Since the concentrated resistance is gradually reduced, the contact resistance is lowered.
The positive contact pressure is primarily dependent on the geometry and material properties of the contacts.
